The mechanism (1) has a spindle (2) including an end section (3), which includes a receiving groove (4) for partially receiving a securing ring (7) e.g. piston ring. A waste gate plate (5) is arranged at the end section of the spindle in a mounted condition. The plate includes another receiving groove (6) for partially receiving the securing ring, where the latter groove is provided complementary to the former groove. The received securing ring fastens the waste gate plate at the spindle. The grooves form an annular closed cavity in the mounted condition of the waste gate plate at the spindle.
