The system has cap retainer (1) that is positioned at right for transfer to electrode shanks (6.1,6.2) of welding tongs. The cap retainer includes a loading cap supply (2) that has a cap supply magazine (4.1,4.2). The cap supply comprises a refilling aperture (7) that is extended outside of working range of the welding tongs toward the cap retainer. The refilling aperture is closed in the cross-sectional area. The cap supply is moved to a cap retainer conveying path such that the compressed air is flowed through a feed tube.
