The brake control system has an electronic control device (S), by which the information is detected from sensors for environmental recognition and actuators are controlled for carrying out wheel-selective braking intervention. The control device has a functional module (F), such that a reference trajectory (T1) is determined depending on the detected obstacles, and the wheel-selective braking interventions are subsequently controlled, such that the reference trajectory is reached. The braking interventions are controlled at the curved outer wheels (6a,6b) when an oversteering occurs.
