The method involves providing electrodes (10, 20). An electric field is applied between the electrodes so that field line elevation is cathodically and anodically obtained. Soot particles are contacted with the field so that deposition of the particles occurs. The particles are suspended in fluid. A concentration of the particles in the fluid ranges from larger than or equal to 1 mg per cubic cm to smaller than or equal to 50 mg per cubic cm. A suspension of the particles and/or carbon nano wires are arranged so that the suspension and the nano wires are exposed to the field between electrons. The fluid is water.
