The system has a prevention device for prevention of unauthorized start-up, and a storable identifier inserted into a component of a battery module i.e. lithium ion battery, and into a discrete component, which is connected with the component of the battery module over a wireless data line. A physical identifier is provided at a housing of each of two battery cells and corresponds with the storable identifier. The physical identifier is etched, engraved or embossed on the housing of the battery cell. The discrete component is selected from a group comprising a battery control device, a central control device for a motor or an onboard network of a vehicle, a vehicle key and/or a diagnose unit. An independent claim is also included for a motor car.
