The oil pan has a frame (18) surrounding a tray body (16), where a bearing surface (20) is formed on the frame. The tray body is formed from a fiber-reinforced plastic sheet, on which the frame is formed by the insert molding of plastic. The bearing surface has a circumferential seal (6) that is supported by the fiber-reinforced plastic. The seal is provided between a fastening lug (10) and a bent edge of the fiber-reinforced plastic sheet. The bent edge of the fiber-reinforced plastic sheet is formed circumferentially in the peripheral direction.
