A clamping screw (100) comprises an external thread (102) and a head (101). The base body exhibits a constant cross-sectional shape transverse to the clamping direction. A distance between screw thread legs (75, 76) is adapted to the external thread such that the legs are deformed when the screw is screwed between the legs. The jaw cap-like encloses the legs such that bending of the legs is upwardly limited by the jaw.
