A metal-oxygen battery comprises a positive electrode formed using oxide material as active material and a negative electrode formed using metallic lithium as active material, and an electrolyte layer formed between positive electrode and negative electrode. The oxide material comprises complex metal oxide chosen from yttrium-manganese oxide and zirconium oxide, and is formed by mixing yttrium salt, manganese salt and organic acid, crushing mixture primarily and baking, and then adding baked product to zirconium salt and blowing secondarily.
