The valve (1) has an adjustable screw device (6) accessed through a valve block (2) in a radial direction for adjusting a valve spring preload force. The adjustable screw device is provided with an adjustable screw (10) that is screwed into an adjustable thread section of a valve bore. A valve spring and a valve piston (5) are provided in the valve, where the valve piston is moved in the valve block against a biasing force of the valve spring. The adjustable screw is comprised of an adjustable screw head, which is accessed in radial direction by the valve block. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a tool with a tool tip; and (2) a method for adjusting a valve, particularly with a tool.
