The system (10) has a fuel cell stack (11) comprising fuel cells (1, 2) connected in series and/or in parallel by interconnectors (3). A part of the interconnectors is made from material e.g. manganese, oxygen, scandium, lanthanum, strontium or lanthanum-strontium-scandium-manganese oxide, with perovskite structure. The cell stack is designed in the form of a sandwich-like function layer system comprising a cathode layer (K), an electrolyte layer (E) and an anode layer (A). Cathode areas (1a, 2a) are formed in the cathode layer, and anode areas (1b, 2b) are formed in the anode layer. The fuel cells are designed as high temperature-fuel cells. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a fuel cell system.
