A vehicle has a coolant circuit, with respect to which a flow of an engine coolant, circulates through. The coolant circuit has an exhaust gas heat return detecting - (eghr -) system for the transmission of heat from an exhaust gas flow from an internal combustion engine to the flow of the engine coolant circulating on. A control valve is arranged downstream of the eghr - system and deflects the flow of the engine coolant circulating along either of the first fluid back to the internal combustion engine, in order to heat the internal combustion engine, or of a second fluid, which has a transmission fluid heating system, in order to heat the supply of transmission fluid contains, in order to reduce of rotation of a transmission loss.
