Drive train for motor car, has transmission input shafts connected with drive shaft of drive unit by friction clutches, and summing transmission arranged between friction clutches and switched by lock-up clutch
The drive train (1) has a parallel manual transmission (8) with two sub transmissions (13, 14), which include multiple switchable gears (I-VI). Transmission input shafts (11, 12) are connected with a drive shaft (3) i.e. crankshaft, of a drive unit (2) i.e. internal combustion engine, by friction clutches (6, 7). A summing transmission (4) is arranged between the friction clutches, and switched by a lock-up clutch (5). The friction clutches are actuated independent of each other. A torsional vibration damper is arranged between the drive shaft and the summing transmission. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a drive train.
