The reforming system has a motor driver module (232) that receives power from the electrolytic capacitor (228) which receives power from a battery of vehicle. An electric motor (204) drives the vehicle. The switching device (220) and the resistor (224) are connected in a current path between the battery and the electrolytic capacitor in series. The resistor limits a current flow through current path. A switching control module (216) selectively transfers the switching device to closed state, in order to reform the electrolytic capacitor.
