The system (3) has housing structures (15) for a clutch (14) and a gear box (13), which are combined to a form a unit. An intermediate stage shaft or jackshaft and drive shafts (A1, A2) are supported over four bearings (30-34). A connector housing (20) is attached at a crankshaft housing and connected with an end region (21) of a gear housing (22) at an interface (SI). Another end region (23) of the gear housing is connected with clutch housings (24, 40) at another interface (SII). The bearings are arranged in the connector housings and the gear housing, respectively.
