The arrangement has an insertion device (3) arranged at a crop receiving unit (2) of a baling press (1) for exposing interior of a supplied crop or crop windrow (E). A near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) measuring unit (5) with a window element (6) is arranged within the baling press such that the window element directly rests towards an interior of the supplied or guided past crop or crop windrow with constant contact pressure. The NIRS measuring unit is arranged at a head end of a spring element (4) in a spring-insertable manner and integrated into a cutting edge of a cutting knife.
