The method involves converting a sensor (21) e.g. potentiometer, position signal into a unique electrical signal in pulse modulation, by a conversion unit (4), before the information is transmitted to a transported element (3). A sensor`s discrete value signal is converted into pulses of the signal in amplitude modulation. The pulse and amplitude modulations of the signal are combined. The pulses of the signal have a trapezoidal shape. The pulses are formed by variations of the electrical signal with values greater than a reference electrical signal value. An independent claim is also included for an avionic equipment.
