Summary the present invention relates to a new composition of thermosetting resins of the phenolic resin type used as binders in the materials. The production of this resin is carried out, without formaldehyde, from phenolic compounds and hardening of the aldehyde functions of the macromolecular. The polymers of the aldehyde functions are obtained by polymerization and telomerization of the acrolein or by controlled oxidation of polyols.
