The present invention relates to a method of measurement of the uranium concentration of an aqueous solution comprising the following successive steps: a) the electrochemical reduction in the direction of the valency iv of the uranium present in the aqueous solution at a higher valency iv, this reduction is carried out at ph 2 and by an electrical current flow in the solution; and b) the measuring the absorbance of the solution obtained at the end of step a) at a wavelength chosen between 640 and 660 nm, preferably at 652 nm.
