The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for coating the keratin fibers of the emulsion type, including: - an aqueous phase, - a waxy phase dispersed in the aqueous phase by means of an emulsifying system, and in which the emulsifying system comprises at least three surfactants, including: - at least one ether alkoxylated c - c, preferably at c, of fatty alcohols in the c - c comprising inclusive of 1 to 150 alkoxy groups, - at least one ester alkoxylated c - c, preferably at c, of fatty acid c - c, including, inclusive of 1 to 150 alkoxy groups, and - at least one ester derived from at least one fatty acid c - c and of at least one primary hydroxyalkylamine (poly). The present invention also relates to a process for coating the keratin fibres, in particular for making up the eyelashes, comprising a step of applying the cosmetic composition for coating the keratinous fibers.
