The seatpost (1) has a hollow tube (10) whose upper end (11) includes a boring traversing the tube. A seat support shaft (4) is mounted rotatably in the boring. A sleeve (20) is integrated with the seatpost on level of the boring and welded to the tube. The sleeve provides a form for receiving the support shaft. Length of the sleeve is greater than diameter of the hollow tube, so that an end of the sleeve protrudes from volume of the tube. Thickness of the tube is constant through entire height of the seatpost.
