The device has a fixing unit i.e. hook (1), engaged around a locking element i.e. rod (2), provided at a through-hole (3) in a boot bottom plate (4). The locking element provides freedom of transverse movement of the fixing unit on a blocking element i.e. metal sheet (21), between opposite transverse edges of the through-hole. The blocking element is provided at the through-hole toward inner side of a passenger compartment and above the fixing unit to avoid disengagement, by lifting, of the fixing unit relative to the locking element during impact i.e. frontal impact, of a vehicle.
