The device has a handle (9), and a frame on which a rail is fixed. The rail is utilized for allowing the frame to be operated along longitudinal direction to carry out movements of the frame in left and right hand sides. A heating resistor is utilized to roast chestnuts or fresh sweet chestnuts. The rail is maintained by two pivot axes such that the rail is allowed to rotate from 180 degrees to 90 degrees. The frame is movable on a set of ball bearings (7). A rheostat sets ideal temperature for the heating resistor.
