The studio has a drive unit (58) for driving a round transparent glass plate (32) for bearing a photographed object and comprising a motor (72) connected to a first synchronization pulley (76). Second and third synchronization pulleys (77, 78) are driven by a synchronization belt (81), and are in contact with a side surface of the plate at upper edge of the plate. The motor drives the first pulley connected to the motor to rotate the belt so as to cause rotation of the second and third pulleys for starting or braking the plate. A basic lighting group is placed under the plate.
