The device (1) has a first support element (2) fixed at a base element (4) of a vehicle. A second support element (18) is fixed at a battery of the vehicle. The first/second support element is equipped with an indexing pin (22). The second support element is formed with an indexing opening (14) that receives the pin. The pin and the opening are adapted in such a way that the pin plastically deforms the opening in response to impact whose intensity exceeds a predetermined value to move the second support element with respect to the first support element.
