The structure has a main frame (3) and an intermediate frame (6) connected to each other by connecting members (9, 10). One of the connecting members comprises a connecting surface (23) that extends parallel to a reference plane facing a bonding surface of the intermediate frame. A backlash adjuster (26) is mounted to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the reference plane to compensate play between the connecting surface of each connecting member and the bonding surface of the intermediate frame, where bolts (29) lock the backlash adjuster in a position of compensation of play. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a supporting structure.
