The tooling apparatus comprises a body provided with one part of a base (32) that delimits a shaft (38) passing through a laser beam and is designed to be fixed to a laser beam emission unit (14) and with other part of a positioning pin (34) disposed so as to be determined with respect to the base having its apex in the alignment of the shaft. The apex is intended to be a reference for positioning the free end to the metal wire when the base is integral with the laser beam emitting unit. The positioning pin is conical with its axis oriented towards the base and inclined with respect to base.
