The trailer (1) has a frame (2) supported by a bearing and provided with a central beam (4) approximately perpendicular to a main beam (3). A compartment (7) receives trolleys. A support unit of the trolleys is placed inside the compartment. A lifting unit is interposed between the frame and a rolling unit to lift the frame from a lowered position in which a supporting surface (25) is positioned below an upper portion of a bearing unit for allowing loading and unloading of the trolleys by rolling up to a high position for transportation of the trolleys with rollers. An independent claim is also included for a device for transportation and handling of a set of carriages.
