The method involves measuring pressure in an injection system, where a first injection phase of the injection system presents characteristics of pressure different from that of a second injection phase of the injection system, the characteristics allow differentiation, and initiation of the injection system is done by succession of injection pulses during successive short duration of an injector opening (Oi). Measurement results are transmitted to a control unit and differentiated by the control unit. Starting time corresponding to the first phase is measured based on pressure measurements. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for injecting measured liquid agent into an assembly (2) a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system (3) a hybrid car.
