The device (1) has a shell (6) made of a magnetically-insulated material and provided with a flat lower face (6a) configured to be positioned on a table (4) of a MRI apparatus (3) in a stable manner. The shell is provided with an upper face (6b) configured to support a head (2a), trunk (2b) and lower limbs (2c, 2d) of an infant (2) by maintaining the head, trunk and the limbs in a zero-gravity position. The shell is configured to allow the penetration of the head of the infant and a front part of the device receiving the head, into a tunnel (5) of the apparatus.
