The spacer (1) has a rod (5) fitted partially between brake pads and comprising bearings (5a, 5b, 5c), where width of each bearing corresponds to a desired spacing maintained between the pads. Each of the bearings has opposite plane faces supported against the respective pad. The bearings comprise approximately rectangular cross section. A gripping head (4) is extended perpendicular to the rod, where the spacer in T shape and top bar of the spacer is formed by the head. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a disk brake (2) a method for assembling a brake caliper on a brake disk.
