The method involves molding a transparent rigid plastic wall (2) and an opaque flexible plastic wall (3) whose flexible material contains laser additives such as antimony dioxide or carbon black. The flexible plastic wall is applied against the rigid plastic wall such that the walls are in contact with each other in wall contacting zones (4) that surround wall spacing zones in which the walls are spaced from one another. A cell (5) is defined by the spacing zones, where the cell is filled with air and delimited by a sealed mechanical connection (7) formed by a laser welding line. An independent claim is also included for a plastic protection panel to be fixed on a body part of a car.
