Self-propelled trolley i.e. golf trolley for assisting player to transport golf club bag during sports activities, has ultrasonic transducers delivering information of distances between obstacles and transducers to guiding system

The trolley has a propulsion device (40) comprising electric drive motors (41a, 41b) and a guiding system for controlling the motors. The guiding system comprises ultrasonic transducers (43a, 43b) spaced laterally from each other with respect to a main displacement direction of the trolley for delivering information equivalent to information of distances (Da, Db) between obstacles (30) and the transducers to the guiding system by measurement of echo of ultrasound impulse. The guiding device controls a propulsion control system to move the trolley in direction of the obstacle.
