The projectile (1) has a body (2) prolonged by a warhead (3) that is rotatable relative to the body by a motor reducer (9) controlled by a control electronics (10). The warhead includes a pair of wings deployed on the warhead, where the wings are arranged on the same plane (19) forming an angle (alpha) with an axis (12) of the projectile. The motor reducer allows the wings to be deployed according to a variable aperture whose amplitude is determined by the control electronics, and allows the wings to be completely folded up inside the warhead. An independent claim is also included for a method for piloting a gyrostabilized projectile.
