The device (D) has a management unit (MG2) arranged to determine a state of running of an electromechanical equipment i.e. electric brake, according to determined effective current position and to determine a request for electromechanical placement of the equipment in the event of reception in a source of a control module (MCB). A value of a parameter is associated with an apparatus i.e. gear box, when the determined request is satisfied by considering a current state. A message for requiring the placement of the equipment is delivered in the requested state. An independent claim is also included for a controller.
