The device has a container (1) containing liquid (F), which flows between two compartments (12-3, 12-7) through a central compartment (11) when the container oscillates. An upper portion (11a) and a lower portion (11b) of the central compartment are separated from each other by an intermediate portion (11c) that is formed with a throttling channel (18) for passage of the liquid from the upper portion to the lower portion. An adjustable stopper (13) is arranged at a level of the channel. A turbine (313) is coupled to an alternator and placed in the upper portion. An independent claim is also included for a method for recuperating energy of movement in form of electric energy.
