The installation comprises an enclosure (1) sealing a vent containing a treating load, a biogas input valve, a biogas output valve, a supporting unit (7) placed in movement with the load in the enclosure, and an unit (10) for circulating a biogas flow through the treating load. The load comprises 75-99 wt. % of blast-furnace slags and 1-20 wt.% of products of load and additives. The installation further comprises: a unit for measuring and/or controlling input and/or output gas pressure; and a unit for measuring and/or controlling physical or chemical parameters of the flow of gas. The installation comprises an enclosure (1) sealing a vent containing a treating load, a biogas input valve, a biogas output valve, a supporting unit (7) placed in movement with the load in the enclosure, and an unit (10) for circulating a biogas flow through the treating load. The load comprises 75-99 wt. % of blast-furnace slags and 1-20 wt.% of products of load and additives. The installation further comprises: a unit for measuring and/or controlling input and/or output gas pressure; a unit for measuring and/or controlling physical or chemical parameters of the flow of gas; an evacuation valve for evacuating liquids by gravity or an active system of evacuation of the liquids; a supply (5) located below the support and/or a gas distribution unit (12) placed within the treating load, where outlet of biogas is placed in top part of the distribution unit; a first introducing hopper that introduces the treating load and is located in an upper portion of the enclosure; and a first evacuating hopper that evacuates the treating load in a water-tight manner and is located in a lower portion of the enclosure. The treating load is static, and the supporting unit comprises grid or plate support and is placed in a lower part of the enclosure. The treating load occupies a volume of about 15 m 3. The treating load is capable of moving in the enclosure. The treating load and the gas are evolved counter-currently or co-currently. The enclosure is approximately cylindrical, and an axis of the enclosure is approximately vertical. The circulation unit comprises a plate or a series of n-perforated or superimposed grills supporting the load, optionally one or a series of N agitators or scrapers, wings or rakes actuated by a motor around the vertical central axis, optionally a distributor of load as a rake agitator located in the upper portion of the enclosure and/or an anchor located in the lower portion of the enclosure. The enclosure comprises a mixing tunnel approximately cylindrical comprising a second introducing hopper for introducing the treating load into a upper part of the tunnel and a second evacuating hopper that evacuates the load in a water-tight manner and is located at a lower part of the tunnel. The enclosure is primarily cylindrical and mobile around a horizontal axis and comprises the load introducing hopper at one end and the evacuation hopper at another end. An independent claim is included for a method for purifying gas.
