The method involves detecting temperature of air inside an interior space. Temperature of outdoor air is detected. Difference between the temperature of the interior air and the temperature of the outdoor air is calculated. Open or closed position of a door of the interior space is detected. A ventilator is activated according to different operation program modes that are based on the calculated difference when the door is in the open position. An operating condition of the ventilator is detected, and a warning signal is emitted in event of operating fault of the ventilator. An independent claim is also included for a device for generating an air curtain within zone of an access opening to an interior space for loading goods in a road transport vehicle.
