The device has a driving plate connected to a movable plate by a transformation mechanism, which transforms angular movement into axial motion using pulleys (7) that freely rotate around shafts (13) fixed at a central plate. The movable plate is fixed by spring legs with the central plate so as to obtain an axial displacement of the movable plate by angular shift between the driving plate and the central plate when pressure is applied on a crank. The axial displacement of the movable plate actuates a detector that is fixed at a frame of a bicycle by a leg.
