The method involves forming a database (51) including points of interest associated with social information about a user, where the points of interest are stored in correspondence with respective geolocation positions. Current position of a terminal e.g. mobile phone, of another user is identified (52). The database is referred (53) to determine the point of interest in the vicinity of the current position, and a data file of contextual information e.g. location data, is associated (58) with the point of interest based on the social information, to communicate the data file to the former user.
