Device comprises a filtration medium, which: has a first side with antibacterial activity and/or anti-fungal activity; and comprises fibers or foam coated with polymer or copolymer of cyclodextrin and/or derivatives of cyclodextrin and polycarboxylic acid or its acid anhydride complexing an active agent comprising a quaternary ammonium compound having two chains or a chain and a benzyl group whose chain consisting of saturated alkyl chain and unsaturated alkenyl chain. Device comprises a filtration medium, which: has a first side with antibacterial activity and/or anti-fungal activity; and comprises fibers or foam coated with polymer or copolymer of cyclodextrin and/or derivatives of cyclodextrin and polycarboxylic acid or its acid anhydride complexing an active agent comprising a quaternary ammonium compound having two chains or a chain and a benzyl group whose chain consisting of saturated alkyl chain (C nH 2 n + 1) and unsaturated alkenyl chain (C nH 2 n + 1), where n= 4. Independent claims are included for: (1) a FFP1, FFP2 or FFP3 respiratory mask, comprising a filtration portion having an intermediate layer comprising the filtration device, preferably filtration medium, where the layer is disposed between external and internal layers of nonwovens and the filter portion is arranged in the mask; and (2) manufacturing the filtration device, comprising applying a solid mixture, which comprises cyclodextrin and/or its derivatives, a crosslinking agent, preferably polycarboxylic acid and/or polycarboxylic anhydride acid and optionally catalyst, on the first side of the medium, heating the active agent at a temperature of greater than 80[deg] C, preferably less than degradation temperature for 1 minute to form the polymer or copolymer of cyclodextrin and/or derivatives of cyclodextrin, washing the filtration medium with water, and activating the first side of the support.
