The device has an insulating cover (1) made out of flexible material and having dimensions to cover a large range of cooking containers, where the insulation of a cooking container (3) is ensured by the insulating cover. A base relay (4) is provided at a low part of the cooking container for ensuring the transfer of heat, during heating, between a cooking energy source (5) and the cooking container, where the base relay isolates the cooking container from the external environment when heating is stopped. The insulating cover is equipped with a handle (2).
