The method involves emitting coded segments to a set of entities, and transmitting a number of coded segments lower than or equal to the number of emitted segments by another set of entities, where entities of the latter set of entities belong to a part of the former set of entities. The segments actually transmitted by an error correction code are decoded (2.6) to find a value of the segments of the data, which are not transmitted, where decoding of the segments is started when the number of actually transmitted segments reaches a predetermined value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus including a communication unit for receiving segments of data (2) a computer program comprising a program code instructions for implementing a method for transmission of coded segments to entities.
