Antislip composition in an aqueous form, comprises 1-40 pts. wt. of soluble alkaline silicate and 3-40 pts. wt. of fossil diatoms having a particle size of 5-250 microns. Antislip composition in an aqueous form comprises 1-40 pts. wt. of soluble alkaline silicate compound of formula (M 2O xSiO 2), and 3-40 pts. wt. of fossil diatoms having a particle size of 5-250 microns. M : Na, K and/or Li; and x : ratio between SiO 2 and M 2O, preferably above 2.5. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing substrates of paper, cardboard and non-woven with antislip properties, comprising coating the substrate using the composition, and drying the coated substrate to evaporate the water contained in the composition; and (2) the substrate having antislip properties, where the substrate is coated on at least one side of its faces, preferably on both sides, using an aqueous composition.
