The installation (1) has a transfer device (8) for transferring articles i.e. body parts (2), of a stamping press (3) to a conveyor (6) for discharging the articles. The transfer device comprises a sorting plate (13) that adopts a working position and extends up to a right side (12) of the conveyor in the position. The plate comprises two sections (14, 15) that are inclined transverse to a longitudinal direction (L). The sections are inclined in directions of a left side (10) and the right side of the conveyor to guide two series of articles towards the sides of the conveyor, respectively.
