The device (1) has a removable front panel (8) horizontally partitioning a front portion of a luggage compartment over a fraction of width of the compartment. A shutter is removable from the horizontal partition and rotatably mounted on another shutter to form an articulated rear panel. The rear panel forms a rear partition of the compartment, where the rear partition is accessible by actuation of a lid by the rotation of the former shutter. A support part (13) receives the front panel and the former shutter in a partitioning position. An independent claim is also included for a partitioning assembly for a device for partitioning a luggage compartment.
