The method involves boring an oblong shaped hole (20) on a part (10). A fastener (30) is inserted into the hole. A sensor (40) i.e. thermocouple, is fixed on a portion of the part by the fastener such that the sensor is maintained near a face of the part. The sensor is made out of composite material. The sensor is maintained in contact with the face. An operating temperature about 1300 degrees Celsius is measured by the sensor, where the operating temperature is higher than a threshold temperature, which is equal to 1000 degrees Celsius.
