This measuring head, intended to equip a dynamic penetrometer, adapted to be connected to a drill string equipped with a terminal tip, comprises a threshing head (12) intended to receive a shock and to transmit it, via the remainder of the measuring head, the drill string, and a central rod (5) provided with at least one deformation sensor (3,4), an end (51) of the rod (5) opposite to that (50) rotated towards the threshing head cooperating with the drill string. It comprises at least one absorption member (13) interposed between at least one part (14) of the threshing head (12) and the end (51) of the central rod (5) adapted to cooperate with the train of rods. The member (13) is adapted to filter the wave transmitted to the tip when the threshing head (12) receives a shock. The invention also relates to a measurement method using this measuring head.
