The present invention relates to a method for navigating in a visual contents, such as a document or a list of the element. The content of which is available at the level of a terminal having for control of the navigation, a portion of the contents of which is displayed on a display device of the terminal. The navigation commands make it possible to move the content displayed on the screen in the direction indicated by the control introduced. The part displayed is duplicated by two identical images when one end of the said contents lying in the direction of travel indicated by the control of navigation is displayed on the display means. A first image remains immobile, a second image is displaced in the direction of travel indicated by the control of navigation as long as said control is active. In this way, the user can be seen that it has been taken into account and visually ascertained that the end of the visual contents is reached.
