The device (20) has a collimator (25) with laser diode, and a target plate (26) positioned on a moving part to be controlled. The plate has a vertical line and a horizontal line, where the lines cross in an intersection zone. The collimator has a housing (61) in which a structured light generator (30) and an adjustable collimation lens are positioned. A power supply (33) supplies power to the structured light generator. The housing and the power supply are positioned on a support (35) of the collimator. The support is positioned on a transport plate (36) removably fixed at a control post (52). An independent claim is also included for a method for geometrical control of moving parts of robots.
