The mechanism has a guide rail (11) fixed on an interior panel of a door of a vehicle. A fixing interface (45) fixes the rail on the panel. The fixing interface is designed to be inserted between the rail and the panel and to be connected to the rail by an adjustment screw (29) distinct from a fixing screw (31). The adjustment screw is configured to modify spacing of the rail with respect to interface. The adjustable screw has a fixed flange (35) fixed in translation in the interface such that actuation of the adjustable screw allows separation or approach of the rail from or to the interface. An independent claim is also included for a door.
